WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Most companies face a gap: a few freelancers can’t provide strategic leadership, but a full-time director of content costs $150K+
Rubicon CX gives you a third option—a fractional head of content or contract strategist who embeds with your team, owns the strategy, and isn’t afraid to execute. You get 25+ years of Fortune 500 experience for the hours you actually need, with the accountability of an in-house leader and the flexibility of a contractor.
No agency overhead. No learning curve. Just experienced leadership that shows up, does the work, and drives results.
This approach encompass leadership, accountability, and execution on each of the following activities.
We lead with human, intelligence, and empathy
We’ve been told a lot about AI and how it can replace many tasks that actual humans do day today. Ai can do a lot of things. And it can do many things well to be honest.
They we’re right about AI, but they were wrong in some ways. At Rubicon CX, we recognize that AI can perform many rote tasks. Humans can then review the results in a fraction of the time (and cost). But, leadership cannot be replaced by AI in any way.
But we never use AI to create new material to pass off as human content. This includes our own presentations, web content, and the like. Our founder is a poet, so we take the ethical concerns around copyright very seriously.
We will disclose exactly when and where AI has been used in all our work.
That is our promise. Proudly human.

WHAT WE DELIVER
Every engagement is built on three pillars—the foundation of effective content strategy:
Content experience strategy
The user-facing side: what people see and how they engage:
We start by understanding where you are. We inventory and audit your current content, assess quality against best practices, and analyze performance using analytics and SEO data. Then we identify specific opportunities for improvement.
What you get:
Content audits and assessments
Actionable recommendations prioritized by business value
Voice and tone guidelines that extend your brand
Content design briefs and playbooks
Messaging frameworks for key audiences
We don’t just tell you what’s broken—we tell you what to do about it and help you do it.
Content delivery strategy and execution
The system-facing side: how content is designed, managed, and delivered:
The best content in the world fails if your team can’t easily maintain it. We design back-end systems that make content authoring intuitive and scalable.
What you get:
Content models for CMS/DAM implementation (AEM, Sitecore, WordPress, etc.)
Author-friendly templates and component design
Enterprise taxonomies that enable findability and personalization
Metadata specifications that drive search and SEO
Migration strategies and executable plans for existing content
We’ve worked with all the major platforms. Our experience with each system’s nuances accelerates delivery and reduces risk.
Content governance model and processes
The processes and people: how organizations sustain content over time:
Without governance, the other pillars fall apart. We help you build sustainable operations that keep content relevant, optimized, and aligned with business goals.
What you get:
Governance models with clear roles and responsibilities (RACI)
Editorial workflows for creation, review, and approval
Staffing plans and resource models (and support selling them)
Maintenance schedules and content optimization processes
Training and onboarding for content teams
Good governance isn’t bureaucracy—it’s the difference between a one-time project and a system that works long after we’re gone.
OUR PROCESS
We don’t show up with a predetermined playbook. Every organization’s content challenges are different.
We ask questions.
We listen.
We ask more qestions.
We work with your stakeholders to understand business goals and user needs.
Then we design solutions that fit your specific context—balancing what’s ideal with what’s achievable given your resources, timeline, and technical constraints.
Whether it’s a six-week content audit or a year-long fractional engagement, the work is collaborative, iterative, and focused on measurable outcomes.
