Overview of our services
Break out of the ultra-basic college or university professor pages. This tier provides an easy way to secure a basic digital presence. It allows you to highlight your courses and research as background for your students and perhaps begin to market yourself for new opportunities.
This tier includes three templates or content layouts (your homepage, a landing page for each site area, and a detail page that will allow for describing something in greater depth).
It also allows two options for managing your site, each of which has pros and cons, which we can explore in an initial consultation.
All solutions come with a contact form, if desired.
This tier allows you to own a more sophisticated digital presence, which you can use to convey the information you want, outside of your institution’s direct control. It will allow you to focus on what is important to you as a scholar and where your interests lie.
At this level, we create custom templates based on your needs as well as make the site your own with branding choices such as logos, word marks, custom color palettes, and typography options.
It also allows the same two options for managing your site as basic, which we can explore in an initial consultation.
All solutions come with a contact form, if desired.
This is our most customizable option. It allows you more flexibility than our other options to fully control your own digital presence. It will allow you to focus on what is most important to you as a scholar.
At this level, we can work with any website management platform. We will create up to eight custom templates based on your needs as well as make the site your own with branding choices such as logos, word marks, custom color palettes, and typography options.
Finally, this tier offers the largest number of built pages to capture all you want.

Important note: the costs above do not include domain registration, hosting fees, and SSL certifications because all these can vary based a variety of factors. Hosting is a monthly expense dependent on the platform. The others are long term expenses that are good for year or more, but are usually less than $50. These costs will be handled as a direct pass through on the invoice with zero markup.

For the first month after launch, we will provide free site support and guided updates.
After that, additional support can be purchased. Costs will vary upon needs.

No. That’s where Rubicon CX comes in. I use my 25 years of web content experience to quickly get you up and running with the content you want to present. You will, of course, have to provide the source content, but I can help make it digitally suitable.
A platform is a system used to manage a website, making it more easy to build and update. Very few websites these days are coded by hand.
Building it takes a little knowledge, which is were we come in, but we can teach you to maintain it pretty easily.
While there are many plaforms to chose from, we focus on Ghost and WordPress (for the Basic and Standard tiers). Choosing another platform (Qix, Squarespace, Blogger) is totally possible, but it would require custom templates. This isincluded in our Premier tier. For the other tiers, these would come with an additional cost.
We can usually handle the work sessions required in two to three hours in multiple sessions. Most other decisions can be handled over email or chat.
Training will entail an hour or two over a video conference and screen share. Additional sessions can be added as necessary.
If you can create a Word doc, updating these pages will be not too dissimilar. You just need to learn the interface.
Each project includes a month of support to help with helping you become comfortable with the tool. Beyond that, you may consider extended support.
Extended support is an option for those who are still completely overwhelmed by it all. Extended support would be a time and materials contract at a negotiated hourly rate for ongoing support and updates. You only would be charged for time spent.
So, as you become more familiar with things, you will find you may not need it at all, unless you want to make big upgrades.
